Colonoscopy lets the physician look inside your entire large intestine from the lowest part, the rectum, all the way up through the colon to the lower end of the small intestine, the terminal ileum.

These symptoms range from nausea, vomiting, belching, reflux (stomach acid washing into the mouth), early satiety (a feeling of fullness after a few bites of food), abdominal pain or bloating, a change in bowel habits, and weight loss.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) enables the physician to diagnose problems in the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas.

After ingestion, the Video Capsule collects measurements of pressure, pH and temperature throughout the entire gastrointestinal tract. The Video Data Receiver, which is worn on a belt clip or on a lanyard around the neck, captures and stores the test data collected by the Video Capsule.

Esophageal pH testing allows the physician to obtain a numerical score corresponding to the amount of acid that refluxes into your esophagus from the stomach. The procedure is used to more precisely quantitate the severity of acid reflux or to exclude it from consideration.

Sigmoidoscopy enables the physician to look at the inside of the large intestine from the rectum through the last part of the colon, called the sigmoid colon. Physicians may use this procedure to find the cause of diarrhea, constipation or abdominal pain.

Rubber band ligation is a procedure in which the hemorrhoid is tied off at its base with rubber bands, cutting off the blood flow to the hemorrhoid.

Upper endoscopy enables the physician to look inside the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum (first part of the small intestine). Upper endoscopy is also called EGD, which stands for esophagogastroduodenoscopy.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a chronic digestive disease. GERD occurs when stomach acid or, occasionally, stomach content, flows back into your food pipe (esophagus). The backwash (reflux) irritates the lining of your esophagus and causes GERD.

Capsule endoscopy enables the physician to look inside the small intestine. The procedure can be used to discover a source of bleeding suspected to be in the small bowel, look for small bowel tumors, changes of celiac disease or diagnose Crohn's disease

This procedure is performed to evaluate the way the esophagus contracts or moves. The test is indicated in patients that are having chest pain, a sense of food getting hung up upon swallowing or painful swallowing.

Paracentesis is a procedure to remove fluid that has accumulated in the abdominal cavity, a condition called ascites . Ascites may be caused by infection, abdominal injury, inflammation, or other conditions, such as cirrhosis or cancer.
